Portal was a short, but sweet game with awesome physics-based puzzles and the antics of our favorite insane AI, GLaDOS. The second game will bring you back to Aperture Science Enrichment Center where Chell has just awakened from stasis a she was in for several centuries. The GlaDOS is, of course, "still alive" and you'll once again be armed with a portal gun and challenged by all sorts of tests - for science. Portal 2 gameplay will include all sorts of new elements like the Propulsion Gel which boosts your speed, or Pneumatic Diversity Vents used for transporting objects.

DX:HR is the third game in the Deus Ex series and is actually a prequel rather than a sequel. It takes place in year 2057 when human augmentation is still very new, and corporations are experimenting with all kinds of cybernetic augs. The main character is an unfortunate ex-cop who gets caught up in the middle of corporation wars and augmented with the latest military implants to survive. Dark cyberpunk atmosphere, multiple ways to accomplish missions (killing, talking, hacking, sneaking) and superb graphics should make DX: Human Revolution the best shooter in 2011.

Witcher 2 - Best RPG 2011

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is a PC-exclusive RPG game by a Polish game studio CD Project RED. It is based on the epic fantasy series of the same name by a Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The game looks gorgeous, has a dark, gritty world with rich lore, and a captivating story. If anything, Witcher 2 proves that PC gaming isn't dead. There are plenty great RPGs to play this year (Skyrim, Dragon Age 2...), but TW2 is definitely the best PC-exclusive RPG to come out in 2011.

Guild Wars 2 - Best MMORPG 2011

Gamers often say that the MMORPG genre is stale and the game developer companies don't offer anything new and innovative anymore. I think that will change with GW2. It takes the best things from the first game (no reliance on gear, very balanced PvP and so on) and bring them to a persistent MMO world with dynamic events, elaborate storyline and amazingly rich environments. Did I mention that just like the first game, Guild Wars 2 will have no subscription fee, either?

TDU2 is probably one of the best looking racing games ever, with hundreds of gorgeously crafted luxury sports cars, dynamic weather effects, a day / night cycle, and stunning maps in the Hawaii and Ibiza modeled using actual satellite photo data. It also includes lots of cool online multiplayer features, such as free roam, casino mini-games and racing clubs.

Update: the game was released on February 8th. It received positive reviews from major gaming sites, although there were some game-breaking bugs at launch that had to be taken care of with an emergency patch

Mass Effect 3 (Third-person Shooter / RPG)

Mass Effect 3 is going to be the third and last game in the epic sci-fi video game series by Bioware. You will once again take control of Shepard (if he didn't die in your ME2 ending, that is) and set out on a mission to save the Earth. Since this ME title is the last one, the story is going to be even less linear than in previous games and allow for a greater freedom of choice. Shepard will finally face the strongest enemy yet, the Reapers, directly in the final part of the trilogy. Of course, he will still have help from his new companions, and the ones returning from previous Mass Effect games.

Crysis 2 - Best System Requirements ☺ (FPS)

Crysis 2 is yet another FPS game from Crytek, and the first one to feature their brand spanking new CryEngine 3. The developers claim that "it's aimed to be the best FPS game ever" and promise stunning visuals no matter which platform you play on (PC, Xbox 360 or Playstation 3) as well as stereoscopic 3D and a nice storyline written by sci-fi author Richard Morgan. While the first game had stunning graphics but didn't impress much on the gameplay front, Crysis 2 aims to do both and provide amazing gameplay experience and gorgeous-looking urban New York environments.

Who hasn't heard about the legendary Diablo series? It took Blizzard over 10 years, but the sequel to the epic hack-and-slash RPG is almost here. Besides obvious improvements to the graphics, DIII also features a physics engine (allowing you to kill enemies by destroying constructions, for example), brand new classes and abilities, and amazing soundtracks by talented composers. It will continue 20 years after Diablo 2: LoD left off, and end the story that started with the original Diablo. However, it's been confirmed that Diablo 3 won't be the last game of the series.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is definitely going to be one of the best new PC games 2011 in this list, especially for the fans of the series. TES games are in a league of their own when it comes to size and quality of the world and the freedom offered to the player. I remember spending hours just exploring the huge world of Morrowind and doing every side-quest I could find :). Like the name suggests, this game will take you to the icy Skyrim region which is to the north of Cyrodiil and to the west of Morrowind.

Brink is a new offering from a British game studio called Splash Damage. The game takes place in a flooded post-apocalyptic world, in a floating city called The Ark. There's not enough resources to support the entire population, and the city is on a brink (heh) of war. There's going to be a single-player story, but it seems the game will be focused on co-op and multiplayer. There are two factions in The Ark: Resistance and Security. You'll be able to choose from 4 distinct classes (Engineer, Soldier, Operative, Medic) and perform various missions as a team.

Star Wars: The Old Republic (MMORPG)

SWTOR is an upcoming MMORPG based on Star Wars universe and developed by Bioware. The game received a lot of praise during the preview in E3 2010. As expected from Bioware, Star Wars: The Old Republic will have an elaborate storyline; all characters, including player's own, will be fully voiced and there will be a dialogue system similar to that of Mass Effect. The game will also feature space combat, NPC companions and romance. Such focus on the story is uncommon when it comes to MMOs, so it looks like SWTOR will be one of the best new PC games of this genre in 2011.

Top 5 SNES RPG Games

Number 1: Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger is definitely my favorite SNES RPG. It has one of the sweetest characters ever in any game (Magus, of course) and features a moving storyline that includes time travel to various eras. This feature allows for various settings, from prehistoric to futuristic. Combat features combo attacks with 2 or even all 3 of your characters. Chrono Trigger is one of the most unique games I've ever played. And who doesn't love a game with a broadsword-wielding frog?

Number 2: Secret of Mana

This is another action-oriented title. The gameplay is fast-paced and very entertaining, and was one of the few that you can play multiplayer on. I loved the style and humor that were put into this game, not to mention the beautiful (for the time) graphics. Secret of Mana only has 3 playable characters, but each one has different strengths and weaknesses. And this is another game whose story is a really great adventure. It was really hard for me to choose not to put this one at the top of the list.

Number 3: Final Fantasy III

Final Fantasy III probably has one of the best storylines in any game ever. You are first introduced to Terra, the last living human who can use magic. She is being hunted by the Empire. From these beginnings, an epic and often very moving story is spun. This game has some of the best graphics on the SNES, and some of the best music as well, featuring different themes for many characters. This game features a whopping 14 playable characters, every one of which is developed during the game.

Number 4: Final Fantasy II

This installment in the Final Fantasy line, also known as FF5, is a classic SNES RPG. While it lacks some of the refinements of later titles in this series, it's still a great game. It was responsible for introducing many of the elements that are common in many RPGs today. This one was later re-released for the GBA, so you can pick up this title for either system.

Number 5: Seiken Densetsu 3

This game was originally only available in Japanese, but an English translation was made by a gamer and released onto the Internet. This is a great game with action-oriented gameplay (as opposed to turn-based, like many of these RPGs). The story depends on which of the 6 characters you choose as your main character at the beginning of the game. No matter which character you choose though, the story revolves around saving the world by releasing the power of the eight Mana stones. I won't reveal any more of the story, in case you haven't played this one yet, but trust me, it's worth it.

This is a great battle tanks game. First choose your terrain and number of players. Type in your name and choose a tank colour. If you are a single player make sure you tick the, "computer controlled", box on the player 2 section. Pick a difficulty level and get started.

Basically, this is a turn based tank game where two tanks battle against one another. You have a menu with all the information you need regarding health etc. Also, you have a selector box for choosing the weapons.

When you have pass each level you go to a screen where you can buy more weapons and accessories with the points you scored. Plenty of war games fun to be had here.

Nano Tank

Here is a superb online tank game a little bit different from your standard blow em up tank game. It's probably more puzzle based and doesn't involve any battles.

Each level has a task that requires completing for you to get your tank to the next level.
One of the best free online tank games.

Big Battle Tanks

This is similar in game play to the game, "Tanks", but with different graphics and some fun cool new weapons to use.
Another great tank game online.

Extreme Tank Wars

This is a simple little tank game that requires no skills. With your given tank just shoot your way around the screen.

The music is a bit irritating and cannot be turned off without the basic tank sounds shutting off as well. Not a problem for those who love rock music!

Total war games fun.Get to the end of the level destroying as many enemy units on your way as possible.
This is a fun battle tanks game designed arcade style. More irritating music though.

Indestructo Tank

A strange tank game but pretty addictive.

You have an indestructible tank. Use your armor to destroy the enemy army. The longer you play the more enemies appear at once.

City Under Siege

Choose out of the five difficulty levels and begin.
Your mission is to destroy all tanks and protect your command centre. Little icon bonuses pop up within the game allowing you to pick them up . This makes the game that much more like war games fun.

Tank 2008

Customise your tank and then play each level of the tank game by following the instructions. This is a colourful arcade style game involving shooting and blowing stuff up.

An online tank game with a difference.
Start off with choosing from the options menu either Survival mode or Deathmatch mode. You have a choice of eight tanks that all have their own strengths and weaknesses.

In Deathmatch you compete with four other tanks to fight for last tank standing. In Survival you have the eight tanks to choose from again but this time you need to survive for as long as you can while protecting the cargo ships.

The game play is pretty simple with basic controls. You get a first person view from inside the tank and even have your own radar.
